PRO PC is a proprietary zero client technology that allows organizations
to share the multitasking capabilities of today's Wintel desktops while
greatly reducing the installation cost/seat ratio. The Share PRO PC
low installation and maintenance costs make it ideal for all those organizations
trying to stretch their budget dollars. Compatibility, ease of use and
field proven ruggedness make Share PRO PC the perfect solution for quick
desktop deployments whether you have a large or small organization.
Share PRO PC is an easy to install proprietary
board (either ISA or PCI) that can allow up to 5 users access to files
and applications from the same PC (depending on the number of open slots).
It includes 15 feet of CAT 5. cabling (can be extended as far as 100
feet) and small station side adapter for plugging in a VGA monitor,
PS/2 mouse and PS/2 keyboard. Besides sharing files and applications
all users surf the Internet using just one phone line, one modem and
one ISP connection.
What Can Share PRO PC Do For You?
Simultaneous Access- Not only can both users access
all the files and applications on the hard disk at the same time... they
can also access all the host computer's peripherals, including the CD-ROM,
DVD, floppy disk, printer and scanner.
Internet Access- When connected to the Internet,
all users can surf the web at the same time, using the same modem, telephone
line and Internet Service Provider account.
Multiple Users- You can put more than one U2-ISA
or PCI card in a PC, and have three or more people using one computer.
Network Access- When the computer is attached to
a standard network then both users can log on at the same time, through
the same network card using their individual user names. Individual email
accounts can send and receive email.
Performance- Taking advantage of the untapped power
of your processor, both users will feel that they in fact have their own
PC, and they will experience virtually no performance degradation in normal
use.
